The General Data Protection Regulation (in Dutch abbreviated to AVG) reinforces citizens’ rights to privacy. Under the auspices of the Delta Programme for Spatial Adaptation, Stichting CAS (Climate Adaptation Services) is committed to properly dealing with personal data. We do not collect any more personal data than required for performing our duties.
We are taking appropriate measures to protect personal data. By taking front-end security precautions, we ensure that personal data is always protected. Climate Adaptation Services will not keep personal data any longer than is statutorily permitted and necessary. For each processing purpose, we determine for how long the data remains relevant and needs to be stored.
When the processing purpose has been achieved and the storage period has thus expired, the data will be deleted or anonymized. In the anonymization process, potentially identifying information is removed from the personal data, thus leaving statistical data that cannot in any way be linked to a person. This statistical data is used to gain insight into the use of our products or services.
Right to access
You have the right to access your personal data, the right to rectification, and the right to erasure. This means that you are entitled to inquire what personal data of yours has been registered and for what purposes such data is being used. In addition, you are entitled to having data corrected or erased via the following procedure.
Please use the help desk contact form to this end. On the form, please indicate clearly that you wish to access your data, stating or adding, as a minimum:
- Your name
- Copy of a valid ID
- Description of your request
Please note: we request that you black out your BSN [Citizen Service Number] and the passport photo on the copy of your ID. We do not need this data. The KopieID app allows you to create a copy in which BSN and passport photo are automatically blacked out.
